The Allied Masonic Degrees is an invitational organization responsible for perpetuating a number of detached degrees that were originally conferred under Craft warrants.  In the jurisdiction of the U.S.A., these degrees include the Royal Ark Mariner, Secret Monitor (Brother and Prince), Knight of Constantinople, Saint Lawrence the Martyr, Architect, Superintendent, Grand Tilers of Solomon, Master of Tyre, Excellent Master, as well as certain Chair degrees.

     Individual Councils, usually limited to 27 active members, are made up of a small number of Freemasons who are interested in advancing Freemasonry through the intensive study of Masonic subjects along with congenial fellowship.
